Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000 annually

 

Come Grow with Us! Forsite is actively looking for an IT Specialist to join our team in Salmon Arm, BC. This is a fully onsite position that must report to the office daily. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Supporting the Systems Administrator, the IT Specialist will provide on-site technical support within the Salmon Arm office and contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Forsite’s IT systems and infrastructure.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Prioritize, track, and respond to incoming IT support requests
  • Provide technical support to employees across multiple offices and operational environments
  • Configure and deploy hardware, including workstations, laptops, tablets, and related devices using imaging tools
  • Install, configure, and upgrade internal systems and software applications
  • Maintain and support Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID and Exchange administration
  • Support domain administration and user account management
  • Assist with network administration, server administration, virtualization, and VoIP systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and hardware-related technical issues
  • Identify and proactively address system and technical issues before they impact operations
  • Support the Systems Administrator with IT policy implementation, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
  • Maintain documentation related to IT systems, processes, and configurations
  • Support ongoing IT projects and initiatives as required



WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Must have:

  • Be living within commuting distance of Salmon Arm, BC (or able to relocate)
  • Experience in an IT support or systems administration role
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, including Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Experience configuring and supporting computer hardware and related systems
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and support workflows
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs to support the movement, setup, and installation of computer hardware and related equipment


Assets include:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft licensing models
  • Experience with enterprise networking equipment such as Cisco Meraki, or Ubiquiti
  • Experience with workstation deployment tools and imaging processes
  • Experience supporting server, network, or virtualization environments
