Position Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, results-oriented Account Executive to own and expand our dealer network with a primary focus on the Western United States. This is a true hunter-farmer role: you will proactively develop new dealer relationships while nurturing and growing existing accounts to drive consistent revenue growth. While the role is focused on the Western USA, the company has additional sales opportunities throughout the US for high performers who are ready to take on more. If you thrive on building relationships in the parks & recreation space, closing new business, and hitting the road to win, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development (Hunting): Identify, qualify, and close new dealers and distributors that supply parks, municipalities, schools, and recreation departments primarily throughout the Western United States, with additional opportunities available across the US.
- Account Management & Growth: Build long-term, strategic relationships with existing dealers; expand share of wallet, introduce new product lines, and deliver exceptional service to maximize revenue and customer loyalty.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust CRM pipeline, forecast accurately, and consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on trends in parks & recreation, playground safety standards, municipal bidding processes, and competitor activity.
- Travel & Field Presence: Actively engage dealers face-to-face. This role requires a minimum of 8 travel days per month (approximately two weeks), with the possibility of up to 12 travel days per month during the first 4–5 months of onboarding to accelerate ramp-up.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal operations, technical support, and marketing teams to ensure seamless project delivery and dealer success.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience: 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience.
- Industry Fit: Demonstrated success selling to dealers, distributors, or end-users in the parks & recreation, municipal, playground equipment, or outdoor recreation supply sectors.
- Track Record: Verifiable history of both hunting new business (prospecting, cold outreach, closing) and account management (relationship building, upselling, retention).
- Location: Must be based in the Western United States. Candidates open to broader national opportunities are encouraged to apply.
- Travel Readiness: Fully prepared and excited to travel minimum 8 days/month ongoing, with the flexibility for up to 12 days/month during the initial ramp period.
- Skills: Strong hunter mentality, excellent negotiation and closing skills, polished communication (verbal & written), and CRM proficiency (Salesforce experience a plus).
- Other: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check. Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally for product demonstrations is helpful but not required.
What You’ll Get :
- Competitive base salary + commission structure
- Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off).
- Company vehicle or generous auto allowance + fuel card.
- All travel expenses paid (flights, hotels, meals).
- High-visibility role with direct impact on company growth and access to opportunities throughout the entire US.
- Opportunity to work with a passionate team that genuinely cares about safer playgrounds for kids nationwide.
