Requirements:

  • Review and interpret Oracle AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports to diagnose performance issues and guide optimizations
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other technical stakeholders to drive continuous performance improvements
  • Employ disciplined, iterative performance validation with critical questioning to uncover root causes
  • Diagnose CPU, memory, and I/O related bottlenecks and implement tuning strategies including indexing, statistics, and execution plan optimizations

Rate Range: $55/hr-$60/hr


Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in performance tuning, indexing optimization, and diagnostic analysis. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in reviewing and interpreting Oracle AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) and ADDM (Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor) reports, and comfortable working closely with developers, business analysts, and other technical stakeholders to drive continuous performance improvements. This role requires strong analytical thinking, the ability to ask critical questions, and a disciplined approach to iterative performance validation.
Requirements:
10 - 15 years of Strong experience as an Oracle DBA.
Hands-on expertise with AWR, ADDM, ASH, and other Oracle diagnostic tools.
Deep knowledge of indexes, statistics, execution plans, and query tuning.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong understanding of Oracle internals related to performance.
Proven experience in diagnosing CPU, memory, and I/O related issues.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and ask the right questions to uncover root causes.
