The Position:
At Red Flag, Account Managers are responsible for developing and managing campaigns on behalf of our clients, implementing integrated communications and public affairs plans, leading client accounts and providing strategic counsel, developing new business leads, and pitching for new accounts.
This position is scoped to be based in Red Flag’s office in Brussels, but candidates based in other EU capitals or working remotely will be considered. Some international travel will be required.
Responsibilities
Supports the development and implementation of communications and public affairs campaigns for our clients.
Works collaboratively with colleagues across our international offices in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Drives project management, reporting and team coordination, including managing and mentoring more junior staff, and managing relationships with specialist third-party consultants.
Leads media and stakeholder engagement on behalf of clients.
Drives new business development and participates in pitching for new accounts.
Required Skills and Experience
We are looking for a confident and highly capable consultant with:
Experience in a professional environment - experience in a consultancy, EU institution or media is an advantage, but not essential.
A comprehensive understanding of the EU political and regulatory framework.
A strong network of media and stakeholder contacts in relevant political, media and regulatory spheres.
Proven client-handling skills with experience managing large accounts and complex campaigns.
Exceptional persuasion and leadership skills, proven client-handling skills with experience managing large accounts and dealing with the media.
Demonstrable experience in pitching and negotiation.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including fluent English. Additional languages are an advantage.
