Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field
  • Experience in demand planning or integrated planning roles; CPG or retail strongly preferred; direct-to-consumer/ecommerce experience valued
  • Technical proficiency: Advanced Excel and familiarity with planning/analytics tools; Power BI; NetSuite/Oracle a plus
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to clearly communicate service risks and summarize complex situations

Requirements:

  • Forecast Ownership: Build, maintain, and publish the rolling monthly demand forecast at SKU/channel level, incorporating sell-through, promo plans, innovation, and lifecycle transitions
  • Drive Forecast Quality: Improve forecast accuracy and bias through statistical baselines, demand signals, and exception-based adjustments; run scenario models for risk and opportunity ranges
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Align with Sales and Marketing on promotional lifts and innovation plans; translate plans into demand signals and reconcile constraints with Supply Planning
  • Innovation Lifecycle Management: Drive structural improvements in run strategy, MOQ alignment, phase-out planning, and supply hygiene to reduce excess and slow-moving inventory

Description

The Demand Planner is responsible for building and maintaining an insight-driven forecast that enables unmissable service, healthy inventory, and agile decision-making across our key retailers both domestic and international. This role focuses on short to mid-term demand planning, weekly forecast maintenance, risk & opportunity identification, and cross-functional coordination with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning to ensure the business runs on one aligned plan.

What You’ll Do

  • Forecast Ownership (Short–Mid Term): Build, maintain, and publish the rolling demand forecast (monthly) at SKU/channel level, incorporating sell-through, promo plans, innovation, and lifecycle transitions
  • Drive Forecast Quality: Improve Forecast Accuracy and Bias through statistical baselines, demand signals, and exception-based adjustments; run scenario models for risk/opportunity ranges
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Align with Sales & Marketing on promotional lifts and innovation plans; translate plans into demand signals. Partner with Supply Planning to reconcile constraints and shape feasible plans
  • Innovation & Lifecycle Management: Drive structural improvements in run strategy, MOQ alignment, phase-out planning, and supply hygiene to reduce excess and slow-moving inventory

Key Performance Indicators

  • Service Excellence: Service Rate, On-Shelf Availability
  • Forecast Performance: Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Forecast Value Add, Value–Volume Disconnect
  • Inventory Optimization: Working Capital, Inventory Cover, Reduction in Excess & Obsolete (E&O)
  • Customer Collaboration: Reduction in Returns (RTV), Fewer Penalties/Chargebacks, Joint Supply Chain Initiatives
  • Process & Agility: Increased automation, exception-based planning adoption, faster issue-to-resolution cycle time
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field
  • Experience: in demand planning or integrated planning roles; CPG or retail strongly preferred. Direct to consumer / ecommerce experience valued
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel; familiarity with planning/analytics tools. NetSuite / Oracle a plus
  • Comfort with Power BI (or similar BI tools) to interpret dashboards and build self-serve views
  • Understanding of statistical forecasting concepts (seasonality, trend, promo lifts)
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with external partners and lead internal cross functional collaboration. Ability to clearly communicate service risks and summarize complex situations in simple terms

Annual Base Compensation range: $80,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
