System IT Pharmacy Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities

  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy and licensure as a registered pharmacist in Kentucky and/or Indiana
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting and/or clinical systems management; remote work eligible with residency in Kentucky or Indiana
  • At least five years related experience including three years direct IT experience supporting Epic Willow Applications
  • Active certification in Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Inventory, and Willow Work Experience

Requirements:

  • Assist the Director- Pharmacy Applications and Manager- Pharmacy Applications in day-to-day operations of the application team and serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes, including data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support
  • Participate in application deployment and procedure documentation; ensure the software build meets organizational goals and external regulatory mandates
  • Instruct, direct, and oversee the work of other Application Analysts, personnel, and project team members; act as project leader for projects with moderate to large budgets or system-wide implications, multiple projects of a short- to long-term duration
  • Apply technical knowledge of all phases of applications system analysis and project management to support Epic Willow applications

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a System IT Pharmacy Specialist to join our team! This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN.

Under general direction, responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting. The IT Pharmacy Specialist will assist the Director- Pharmacy Applications and Manager- Pharmacy Applications in day-to-day operations of the application team, as well as serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes. This includes data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support. Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation. Ensures that the software build meets organizational goals and external regulatory mandates. Has technical knowledge of all phases of applications system analysis and project management.  Duties include instructing, directing and checking the work of other Application Analysts, personnel, and project team members. Acts as project leader for projects with moderate to large budgets or system-wide implications, multiple projects of a short to long-term duration, and medium to large projects.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy and licensure as a registered pharmacist in Kentucky and/or Indiana required.

  • Experience in a pharmacy setting and/or clinical systems management required.

  • At least five years related experience including three years of direct IT experience supporting Epic Willow Applications.

  • Must maintain active certification in Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Inventory, and Willow
