Roles & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards (FARs) relevant to aircraft maintenance
  • Experience performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft and sub-assemblies
  • Ability to document maintenance activities and complete required paperwork, including return-to-service
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures and adherence to maintenance manuals

Requirements:

  • Performs scheduled maintenance on aircraft and sub-assemblies, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components, and ensures accuracy and timeliness of completed tasks
  • Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections when time permits; documents maintenance activities and completes return-to-service paperwork
  • Reports discrepancies to the Maintenance Manager or Pilot in Command and maintains accurate maintenance records
  • Observes FAA regulations and GMMs while performing required maintenance and adheres to Company safety policies; performs other duties as required

Job description

The Challenger Maintenance Crew Chief maintains the Company's aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition according to the Company maintenance manual and FAR regulations. Conducts or assists with all inspections and repairs on aircraft and aircraft sub-assemblies and performs required documentation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Performs scheduled maintenance on aircraft, as assigned.
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of completed tasks.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs damaged, worn, or defective mechanical components.
  • Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections on aircraft as time permits.
  • Reports discrepancies to Maintenance Manager or Pilot in Command.
  • Document maintenance activities.
  • Completes required paperwork, including return to service requirements.
  • Observes current applicable FAA Regulations and GMMs while performing required maintenance.
  • Complies with Company safety policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties and assignments, as required.
