Job description


Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager - Remote position with a Renowned Healthcare Organization located in Rochester, MN. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $58-62 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.


This role involves leading projects of medium to high complexity within an Information Technology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving project objectives on time and on budget, conforming to the client's IT methodologies. They will manage projects with budgets up to $1 million, facilitate technology problem-solving, and communicate complex technical information to management and end-users.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects of medium to high complexity, and support projects of high complexity as part of a program team 
  • Achieve project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to IT methodologies and practices 
  • Solicit technological input from senior technical resources and facilitate technology problem-solving activities 
  • Manage projects with budget responsibility up to $1 million, including matrix supervision of staff and contractor/vendor resources 
  • Present project requests to institutional committees and oversight bodies to receive approval and direction 
  • Support senior level project/program managers in strategic planning processes 
  • Advise other IT staff regarding project management practices, methods, and standards 
  • Manage multiple competing objectives, prioritize, and communicate complex technical information 
  • Assure strict adherence to budget management guidelines 
  • Participate in the development and tracking of project budgets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience managing projects of simple and moderate complexity involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines, including experience leading projects using PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas OR Master's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of similar experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Web Browsers
