Job description

Title: Data Analyst, Sr
Location: Remote
Time Zone: EST with flexibilty
Type: Contract with possible conversion (must be oo converting to perm)
Duration: 6 months with possible conversion or extension
Rate: 55 - 70/hr depending on experience

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and confident Sr Data Analyst to support our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) operations. This role requires strong SQL skills, the ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and excellent communication skills to effectively partner with business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is articulate, business-savvy, and able to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Partner with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions
Communicate findings clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decisions
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
Support ad hoc data requests and ongoing reporting needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and IT

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
Healthcare payer/insurance or TPA
Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, performance tuning)

Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Understanding of data warehousing concepts
Experience with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, professional English required)
