  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native data services
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, data governance, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO, SOC2, HIPAA) including IAM, encryption, network controls, and IaC tools

Requirements:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models for structured and unstructured data
  • Architect and optimize data lakes and data warehouses; work with Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Kafka
  • Build and manage cloud-based data solutions on Azure/AWS/GCP; deploy infrastructure with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Implement data security and governance across cloud environments, including IAM, encryption, monitoring, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO, SOC2, HIPAA)

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, along with hands-on expertise in cloud security practices. The role requires deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), secure data engineering frameworks, and the ability to implement security controls across data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop and optimize data models, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Work with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Kafka, or equivalent.
  • Implement data quality and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to deliver secure and reliable data solutions.
  • Cloud Platform & Infrastructure
  • Build and maintain cloud-based data solutions using Azure/AWS/GCP.
  • Manage cloud-native services such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, S3, etc.
  • Deploy infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines and storage.
  • Cloud Security & Compliance
  • Implement and manage security best practices across cloud data environments.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (GDPR, ISO, SOC2, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Configure and monitor IAM roles, access controls, encryption policies, and network security for data platforms.
  • Work with security teams to perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Enable data protection mechanisms such as data masking, encryption at rest/in transit, and secure key management.
