  • Develop hyper-personalized outreach strategies to engage top Ruby talent and achieve high response rates
  • Implement AI-driven sourcing efficiencies while maintaining strict verification to prevent proxy or synthetic candidates
  • Own ATS health in Teamtailor, optimize the recruitment funnel, provide candid feedback on candidate quality, and collaborate with leadership on brand and community advocacy

This is where you come in. To scale a mission of this magnitude, we need to build a resilient, in-house engineering team. In an industry that requires absolute precision, the quality of our product depends entirely on the integrity of our hiring process. Because our technical bar is high and our industry demands security, standard recruitment won't cut it.

We need an operationally strong Technical Hunter, not a generalist, to manage our Top-of-Funnel. You'll experiment with AI to find "hidden" Senior Rubyists and act as a filter against synthetic talent or proxy candidates. You’ll be an essential part of the team, ensuring that every engineer we hire has the technical depth to help us succeed. By finding and vetting the right talent, you help us build the software that makes crypto taxes simple and accessible for everyone.

Role at a glance

  • Location: Fully Remote (Strictly Europe-based). Due to the high-security nature of our industry and our specific operational requirements, we’re only considering candidates currently residing in Europe.

  • Type: 6-Month commitment (possibility to extend)

  • Focus: 80% ToFu Sourcing | 20% Identity & Depth Verification.

Your priorities

We prioritize precision and security over volume. You’ll own the pipeline from signal discovery to deep verification. Practically that means that your role is split between high-intensity sourcing (80%) and rigorous verification (20%).

  • The hunt (80% ToFu): You'll identify Senior Ruby talent through external signals: GitHub contributions, Open Source activity, Ruby gems, and niche technical communities.

  • Hyper-personalized outreach: You’ll craft "hunt" strategies that reference specific technical contributions, ensuring a high response rate from those who usually ignore recruiters.

  • AI-driven sourcing: We expect you to be an early adopter. You’ll have the autonomy to implement AI-driven efficiencies for data scraping and outreach automation to buy back your own time.

  • The "Human Firewall”: In a world of AI-generated profiles and proxy interviewees, you’re our first filter. You’ll conduct forensic reviews and initial screens designed to verify identity and technical experience— distinguishing real-world experience from AI-led responses.

  • High-precision shortlisting: Source and vet Senior talent to provide curated, high-signal shortlists to Hiring Managers.

  • Funnel engineering & ATS integrity: You own the health of the engine in Teamtailor. This includes friction analysis—auditing hiring stages to identify where talent "leaks" and iterating on the process based on real-time feedback from Engineering.

  • Candidate experience: You’ll provide direct, honest feedback on candidate quality and pipeline health to ensure we never compromise on our technical bar.

  • Ad-hoc & brand support: Collaborate with the CEO/Founder on scaling needs and use your personal/professional channels to advocate for Koinly within the Ruby community.

What you bring

  • A “Ruby Rolodex”: You aren’t starting from scratch. You bring an established network of Senior Ruby engineers in Eastern-Europe and know exactly where the "hidden" talent hangs out.

  • Technical sourcing DNA: You have experience in TA, with a proven track record of hiring for seniior Ruby on Rails roles (ideally in Fintech or Crypto).

  • High-octane autonomy: You’re highly motivated, self-directed hunter. You thrive when working independently but pivot seamlessly to support the wider TA team where focus is needed.

  • Operational and AI rigor: You’re highly organized and understand how to maintain and further optimize a high-performance hiring funnel. You want to help us build a recruitment engine, not just fill a role, and proactively experiment with AI to automate the grind and optimize the funnel.

  • Communication: Exceptional English (spoken and written). You can represent Koinly’s brand with clarity and professionalism.
