Requirements:

  • Train and facilitate Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and Black Belt training sessions, workshops, and certification programs; develop materials, case studies, and exercises; collaborate with business units to co-develop engaging content.
  • Build advanced Black Belt-level training content (advanced statistics, experimental design, regression modeling, hypothesis testing, statistical process control) and design/deliver a standalone Automation Certification program (100/200/300 levels).
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to candidates during belt projects; manage the certification pipeline and ensure program standards and candidate readiness.
  • Integrate automation training modules with Lean Six Sigma programs and serve as an SME on combining Lean, Six Sigma, and automation for scalable improvements.

Salary range is:

$94,890.40 - $140,000.00

This position is bonus and/or commission eligible.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Black Belt Lean Six Sigma & Automation Trainer to join our organization. This role is dedicated to designing, delivering, and coaching Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and automation training programs. The Trainer will interface directly with other Black Belts, Master Black Belts, and candidates enrolled in certification programs, ensuring a strong pipeline of trained professionals equipped to drive measurable improvement across the business. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining advanced Black Belt-level content, including modules covering complex statistical analysis. In addition, this role will own the design and delivery of a standalone Automation Certification program with progressive 100, 200, and 300-level certifications.


 

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Facilitation

  • Deliver engaging Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and Black Belt training sessions, workshops, and certification programs.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, case studies, and exercises tailored to the organization’s needs. Collaborate with business units to co-develop content to ensure highly specific engaging content.
  • Build advanced Black Belt-level training content, including modules in advanced statistics, experimental design, regression modeling, hypothesis testing, and statistical process control.
  • Design and deliver a standalone Automation Certification program:
    • 100 LevelPower Automate & Forms: Focus on automation fundamentals, workflows, and form-driven process improvements.
    • 200 LevelCopilot: Introduce AI-powered productivity and automation enhancements using Microsoft Copilot.
    • 300 LevelPower Apps & Agents: Develop and deploy custom applications and intelligent virtual agents for enterprise automation.

Coaching & Mentorship

  • Provide guidance to candidates as they complete belt projects, ensuring proper use of LSS tools and automation techniques.
  • Offer ongoing 1:1 and group coaching to help candidates progress toward certification and achieve project success.
  • Collaborate with other BBs and MBBs who will funnel candidates into training, ensuring alignment on program standards and candidate readiness.

Program Support

  • Manage the certification pipeline of Yellow, Green, Black Belt, and Automation candidates, maintaining training schedules, progress tracking, and certification records.
  • Ensure consistency of methodology and quality across all training and coaching activities.
  • Support enterprise-wide improvement capability by maintaining a strong training culture and candidate experience.

Automation Integration

  • Integrate automation training modules into Lean Six Sigma programs.
  • Provide awareness and hands-on guidance on automation technologies and frameworks.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource on combining Lean, Six Sigma, and automation for scalable improvements.


 

Requirements:

Education & Certification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical discipline (Master’s preferred). 

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Master Black Belt a plus). 

  • Certification or proven experience with automation platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Copilot, or similar). 

Experience 

  • 7+ years of experience leading Lean Six Sigma projects with measurable outcomes. 

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs, including advanced statistical topics. 

  • Experience building tiered or progressive certification programs (preferred). 

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft automation ecosystem (Power Platform, Copilot, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents). 

Skills 

  • Deep expertise in statistics, data analysis, and experimental design. 

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and adult learning expertise. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities. 

  • Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire candidates at different stages of learning. 

  • Skilled communicator with the ability to explain complex statistical and automation concepts in accessible ways.
