The Senior UKG WFM Integration Developer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade integrations between UKG Workforce Management (WFM) and multiple upstream and downstream systems within a large, complex healthcare system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data movement that supports payroll accuracy, clinical operations, workforce analytics, and regulatory compliance. This position requires deep technical expertise in UKG WFM integration frameworks, strong development skills, and experience supporting mission-critical systems in a healthcare environment. Experience with UKG Data Hub and UKG Analytics is a plus.
Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain inbound and outbound integrations for UKG Pro WFM
- Build integrations supporting employee master data, job/labor assignments, schedules, time and attendance, accruals, pay results, and labor distribution
- Develop file-based, API-based, and middleware-driven integrations (e.g., SFTP, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL tools)
- Partner with enterprise integration teams to align UKG WFM integrations with organizational architecture standards
- Develop and support UKG Data Hub data feeds for enterprise reporting and advanced analytics
- Create optimized data extracts to support Finance, Labor Productivity, Compliance, and Workforce Analytics use cases
- Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and performance of analytics feeds
- Support downstream BI tools and analytics platforms consuming UKG WFM data
- Participate in UKG WFM implementations, upgrades, and expansions from a technical integration perspective
- Support parallel payroll testing, cutovers, and go-live activities
- Provide production support for integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes
- Implement secure data transfer methods, including encryption, authentication, and role-based access
- Support audit requirements and documentation related to data movement and system controls
- Monitor integration jobs and implement alerting and recovery procedures
- Work closely with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, IT Infrastructure, Analytics, and clinical stakeholders
- Translate functional business requirements into technical integration designs
- Provide technical guidance and code reviews for other developers or analysts
- Contribute to integration standards, best practices, and long-term WFM technical strategy
- Identify opportunities to modernize integrations, reduce manual effort, and improve system resilience
- Evaluate new UKG features and integration capabilities for adoption
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise system integrations
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with UKG WFM integrations
- Strong experience with API development, file-based interfaces, and secure data transfer
- Experience with Boomi integration middleware platform (MuleSoft, Workato, etc. is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with UKG Data Hub and UKG Analytics
- Experience with SFTP, REST APIs, JSON/XML, and ETL patterns
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex integration and data issues
- Familiarity with healthcare HR, Payroll, Finance, and ERP ecosystems
- Deep understanding of UKG WFM data structures and processing cycles
- Strong SQL and data validation skills
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- UKG certifications preferred (Dimensions, Integrations, Data Hub, or Analytics)
Pay Range:
$120,000.00 USD - $150,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
