What This Role Actually Is
We are not looking for a traditional backend developer.
We are looking for an AI-native engineer who builds fast and thinks in systems.
You:
- use AI (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) as your primary development interface
- can take an idea from concept → working system quickly
- think in automation, agents, and scalable architecture
- care about output and speed, not process
If you are writing code manually without heavily leveraging AI, this role is not for you.
Speed Is the KPI
- Prototypes in hours
- Features in days
- Systems in weeks
Not:
- weeks for features
- months for systems
What You’ll Do
- Turn ideas into working backend systems fast
- Build AI-powered workflows, agents, and automations
- Integrate LLMs (Claude, OpenAI) into real-world applications
- Replace manual processes with intelligent systems
- Design scalable APIs and backend architectures
- Continuously ship, test, and improve
AI-First Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
You must already:
- use Claude (or similar) daily for coding, debugging, and system design
- rely on AI to accelerate development and decision-making
If AI is not central to your workflow, this role is not a fit.
Core Skills (What Matters)
- Strong backend experience (PHP/Laravel or Node.js)
- Experience integrating LLMs into production systems
- API design (REST / GraphQL)
- Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
- Familiarity with cloud and containerization
What Doesn’t Matter
- Years of experience
- Degrees
- Buzzwords
