Roles & Responsibilities

  • 7-10 years of experience with technology sales, licensing and procurement transactions and related distributor, reseller, cloud computing, and software product and services agreements

  • BA/BS, and preferably a Masters in related field

  • Review, redline, analyze, and negotiate software licensing agreements, partner agreements, MSAs, and NDAs
  • Develop non-standard agreements to address unique customer engagements involving complex professional services
  • Identify and assess contract risks, ensuring terms are fair, reasonable, and aligned with the company's risk appetite and compliance considerations

Job Description Summary:

The Senior Contracts Manager – Latin and South America will be primarily focused on drafting and negotiating software licensing agreements in support of the Rocket sales organization. This position requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to autonomously operate within established frameworks and approaches with minimal guidance, while managing multiple, complex approval and contract negotiation cycles at various points in the sales cycle. This individual will have highest standards and a bias for action to achieve deal velocity while exercising high judgment and autonomous decision making in often ambiguous situations. They must be a team-player, supportive and collegial with respect to the broader commercial legal team (and legal team in general) and willing to assist in training and mentoring other contracts professionals. This individual will be responsible for developing Rocket’s Latin and South American contract strategy, in addition to supporting other transactions in North America.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively allocate time to meet business priorities, ensuring timely contract turnaround and alignment with organizational goals, including balancing the need to support Latin and South America along with the rest of the organizations business in North America.

  • Manage the entire contract negotiation process, from initial request and review through negotiation and execution, ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements during the contract negotiation.

  • Review, redline, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of software-related contracts, including software licensing agreements, partner agreements, master service agreements, and NDAs.

  • Develop non standard agreements to address unique customer engagements involving complex professional services.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contractual terms, ensuring that contract terms are fair, reasonable, and aligned with the company's risk appetite.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Rocket’s business, products, markets, customers and partners in order to identify trends and formulate effective compliance strategies.

  • Deals knowledgeably with customer assignments, transfers, and outsourcing.

Qualifications:

  • Effective management skills with ability to manage the company’s sales contract operations.

  • Strong preference given to candidates with the ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese

  • 7-10 years of experience with technology sales, licensing and procurement transactions and related distributor, reseller, cloud computing, and software product and services agreements.

  • BA/BS, and preferably a Masters in related field.

  • Strong understanding of software contracts, licensing models, and service agreements.

  • Familiarity with software industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex contractual documents and legal language.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Ambitious, commercially astute and self-motivated.

  • Experience working with Salesforce is preferred.

  • Diplomatic, approachable and possessing good business and personal judgment. 

  • Must manage conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Inherent ability to act with the highest integrity and professionalism. 

  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.

Annual salary range for this position is between $97,500.00 - $131,625.00 gross before taxes.
