The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's new Digital hub for strategic IT projects.
Context/ ROLE
The FinOps Specialist will support the Global FinOps Lead in establishing and maintaining transversal governance related to cloud financial operations within the organization.
This role involves collaboration with: a dedicated team based in Bucharest, one member in Brazil, all application owners, development teams, Edenred CTOs from entities across the world.
Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities
- Transversal Governance Implementation: Ensure that FinOps governance frameworks are effectively implemented across all Business Units to enhance financial accountability and oversight.
- Financial Monitoring: Monitor cloud consumption and forecast spending against budgets to ensure adherence to financial planning and reporting standards.
- Optimization Plans: Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities through analysis of cloud consumption patterns and budget forecasts. Develop and execute plans focusing on cost management, including resource right-sizing, cleanup of orphaned and unused resources, and ensuring optimal utilization of cloud resources.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Work collaboratively with team members to identify and implement process improvements in cloud financial management and reporting.
Required skills & profile
Experience:
- Proficiency in Azure, including Azure Resource Management, Azure Cost Management, and Azure Monitor.
- Familiarity with automation using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
- Understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and their cost structures.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in Azure.
- Proficient in data analytics tools (such as Power BI) for analyzing cloud spending trends and preparing financial reports.
- Strong grasp of cloud architecture concepts for effective communication with engineering teams.
- Minimum of 5 years in an IT environment focused on cloud technologies, including experience in IT administration, development, or agile methodology.
- Certification in FinOps or relevant cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) is a plus.
