Job Description

This Legal Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Client Legal Services Attorneys supporting the Nevada office. The role enters and manages data including pleadings, motions, and all trial, arbitration, and mediation letters. The individual is responsible for all calendars, files, and related events in case management systems. This position is also responsible for confirming related events and activities, closing, maintaining, and archiving files. The position also monitors and routes internal and external emailed communication as well as communicating with all case parties and vendors and ensures quality client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and administrative support to the Nevada office and Client Legal Services Attorneys
  • Open and maintain new lawsuits, ensuring accurate setup and ongoing management within case management systems
  • Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, including Nevada court dates, deadlines, depositions, hearings, and case management orders
  • Prepare, draft, file, and serve pleadings and legal documents in both paper and electronic formats, including e-filing in Nevada courts
  • Process and manage high volumes of electronic correspondence related to pleadings, filings, court communications, and case activity
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and internal stakeholders, maintaining professional and timely communication
  • Manage document organization, indexing, version control, and maintenance of case files to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Draft routine correspondence and documents for attorney review and approval
  • Monitor deadlines and procedural requirements to ensure timely and compliant filings
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating case and attorney needs, taking ownership of assigned work, and collaborating effectively with team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to a legal, litigation, claims, or professional services environment through work experience, internships, or administrative roles
  • Interest in or pursuit of legal knowledge, continuing education and upskilling (e.g., coursework, certification, or prior law firm experience)
  • Basic familiarity with legal documents and processes, including pleadings, filings, calendaring, and document management
  • Knowledge of or experience with the Nevada legal system is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in technology-driven environments with multiple systems and processes
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume work while meeting deadlines
  • Comfort working with electronic filing systems, document management tools, and large volumes of electronic correspondence (training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative, and strong professional communication abilities
  • Ability to adapt, work collaboratively, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced and transformative environment.  or challenging situations
  • Ability to work a scheduled day of 8:00am–5:30pm PST

Compensation

The compensation offered for this role is $19- $27 hourly and is based on experience and qualifications.
