  • Identifies at-risk students who demonstrate academic difficulties and determines intervention type based on the students’ circumstances and records.
  • Creates, advises, and relays the students’ individualized education plans based on their calculated SAP statuses per the SAP regulatory guidelines, supporting their academic progress.
  • Conducts scheduled phone or video meetings with students regarding their individualized academic plan and documents appropriately in student records.

Overview

This can be a remote position for the right candidate that meets the minimum requirements

 

Academic Progress Review Specialists are primarily responsible for reviewing SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) and overall academic history to determine academic interventions that will most impact student success.  Academic Progress Review Specialists will meet with students via video and/or phone to discuss overall SAP standing and to develop plan necessary to ensure students move forward in their programs and maintain good academic standing.  Academic Progress Review Specialists will compile accurate and timely documentation of all reviews and interventions in accordance with the Online Campus and University policies.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience working in higher education setting, ideally in records management, academic services or student success.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to motivate students while explaining complex information with high empathy for students’ challenges.
  • Ability to make effective decisions independently.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively via phone and video with diverse students.
  • Strong attention to detail, as it relates to SAP calculations and documentation.

Technical Requirements:

  • Reliable high-speed internet required.
