Remote role: Location is unimportant – the office is based in the heart of the City of London but the majority of the team operate from home thanks to their market-leading technology platforms. Acrisure's presence in the UK is growing, and the recent acquisition by Acrisure of Modus, a rapidly growing MGA is looking for an enthusiastic Property Underwriter to join the team! Modus provide the highest levels of service to their UK-Wide panel of broker partners. They underwrite a range of specialist Commercial and Residential Property products, all delivered via a slick and effective online trading platform.

About the role:

Reporting into Modus’ Underwriting Team Manager, we are looking for an experienced underwriter to undertake and oversee operational underwriting activities across the business for allocated schemes.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Underwriting in achieving target net underwriting results by proposing over-arching underwriting actions
• Provide constant feedback to enable communication of a clear underwriting plan.
• Continually monitor allocated schemes underwriting performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending relevant changes.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with our scheme and broker partners
• Provide support to senior management in respect of planning, prioritising and organising work and resources at an operational level.
• Underwriting effectively whilst adhering to binder limits and insurer appetite

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have;

• Previous experience of working as an underwriter

• Previous experience of dealing with property owners and package insurers
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
