  • Translate API and integration requirements into clear test scenarios and test cases
  • Validate API requests, responses, JSON/XML payloads and error handling across end-to-end data flows
  • Perform end-to-end and regression testing across integrated systems using tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • Log, track, and assist in defect resolution while collaborating with developers, analysts, and other project team members

Role: Senior Test Analyst (API integrations)

Location: Remote (South Africa-based only)
Engagement: Independent Contractor | 6 Month Contract

Start: Early May 2026

Role Summary

We are looking for Senior Test Analysts with strong API and integration testing experience. This role will focus on

testing how systems connect, how data moves between them, and whether integrations are working as

expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Review integration and API requirements and turn them into clear test scenarios

• Test APIs and connected systems to make sure data is flowing correctly

• Validate requests, responses, and error handling

• Work with tools such as Postman or SoapUI

• Check JSON and XML messages for accuracy

• Run end-to-end and regression testing across integrated systems

• Log, track, and help resolve defects

• Work closely with developers, analysts, and other project team members

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in API and integration testing

• Good understanding of how systems interact and exchange data

• Hands-on experience with Postman, SoapUI, JSON, and XML

• Able to investigate issues and explain them clearly

• Comfortable with SQL and data validation

• Experience working in Agile delivery teams

• Strong communication skills and a detail-focused approach
