We've partnered with a fast-growing HubSpot Diamond partner agency that works with mid-market businesses across Australia and New Zealand to help them digitise, automate, and grow. HubSpot sits at the centre of everything they do, from CRM and workflows through to integrations and AI-powered automation, and they have built serious depth in that ecosystem over the last few years. The team is small, non-hierarchical, and genuinely invested in doing things properly.
The role
This is a specialist role, not a generalist one. You will be working directly with an Account Strategist, translating client requirements into HubSpot solutions and then building and quality-assuring those solutions to a high standard. Most of your day will be in the platform. The rest will be in conversation with clients and internal teams.
What separates the right person from a capable one is the ability to think, not just build. The team is clear on this: they do not want taskmasters. They want someone who looks at a client's portal, spots what is missing or underutilised, and proactively flags it. Someone who questions whether a solution is the right one before building it, not after.
Longer term, this role is designed to evolve. As you build trust and deepen your understanding of the clients you work with, there is a clear path towards a more hybrid position where implementation and strategy sit side by side. The right person will gradually take on more involvement in client conversations, shaping recommendations rather than just delivering them.
What you'll do
Work closely with Account Strategists to understand client requirements and design HubSpot solutions that genuinely fit the brief
Build and configure solutions across Sales Hub, Marketing Hub, and Service Hub, including workflows, automations, integrations, and CRM setup
Quality-assure your own work before presenting it, making sure everything functions as intended before it reaches the client
Jump on client calls as needed to present solutions, walk through builds, and support training and onboarding
Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in client portals, flagging them internally and where appropriate directly with clients
Create SOPs, process documentation, and Loom training videos so clients can use and maintain what you have built
Switch between multiple client projects throughout the day, managing context and priorities without losing accuracy
What you'll bring
2+ years of hands-on HubSpot experience, predominantly in Sales Hub and Marketing Hub; Service Hub experience is a strong advantage
The ability to work independently and think through complex problems before building, not just execute tasks as they arrive
Strong attention to detail; you QA your own work and take pride in delivering something that is right, not just done
Clear written and verbal communication skills; you can explain what you have built and why to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfort switching between multiple clients and projects in a single day without losing focus or accuracy
Experience creating training materials, SOPs, or Loom walkthroughs is a plus
Any exposure to AI tools within HubSpot or adjacent to it is a bonus
Who this role is for
You know HubSpot well enough to have opinions about it. You have built complex solutions, not just set up basic pipelines, and you can talk through your thinking in detail. You are the kind of person who opens a client's portal and immediately starts noticing what could be better, not just what you have been asked to fix.
You are comfortable working remotely and managing your own time across a varied client portfolio. You do not need to be told what to do next. You are proactive, thorough, and you find satisfaction in handing over something that genuinely works.
You are also someone who is not content to stay purely technical forever. You are curious about the strategic side of what you are building, interested in client conversations, and motivated by the idea of eventually shaping the direction of an engagement, not just executing it.
This role is not for you if:
Your HubSpot experience is broad but shallow; this role requires real depth
You prefer to work on one thing at a time and find context switching between clients stressful
You need close oversight to stay on track
You are looking for a role where the requirements are always clearly defined before you start
Why you'll love working here
Competitive base salary plus bonuses tied to client success and business growth
Fully remote and flexible
Mentorship from experienced practitioners and a clear path to grow into more senior specialist or strategic roles as the business scales
A culture that genuinely values ideas and experimentation, where your input shapes how the team works, not just how your tasks get done
Direct exposure to AI-powered automation and the cutting edge of the HubSpot ecosystem; if you want to develop in that direction, the support is there
