• The Role

  We are looking for a Senior Distributed Database Administrator to manage complex database systems in production. Execute performance tuning, automation, and database lifecycle management tasks. Ensure database integrity, security, and performance across test, corporate, and production environments.

  • Years of Experience: 6+ years of database administration and associated teams in a 24x7x365 environment.

  • Skills Required: Strong knowledge of OLTP systems, Database Administration, Data Warehousing, backup/recovery, and database replication. Experience with database lifecycle management, automation, and performance optimization.

  • Software Knowledge: Atlassian or similar work planning and management software. Ability to use Google or Microsoft Office suites.

  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and cloud-native databases such as Snowflake or Redshift. Hands-on experience with Goldengate Replication. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet) and automation frameworks. Experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora) is preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and operate effectively in fast-paced environments.

  Required Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of RDBMS internals, SQL performance tuning, and schema design.

  • Expertise in Cassandra and Oracle or Postgres database Administrations.

  • Experience with Cassandra and Oracle RAC or PostgreSQL clustering.

  • Good experience in goldengate replication.

  • Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques.

  • Familiarity with AWS, automation, and observability technologies.

  • Proven ability to design and implement production-grade database systems.

  • Good experience on shell or python scripting.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within FinTech.

  • Familiarity with PCI, SOC2, and NYDFS audits and requirements.

  • Experience with Puppet, Ansible and Terraform or similar IAC technologies.

  • Knowledge and Experience with AWS Cloud.
