Job description

IT Systems Administrator

Are you ready to be the backbone of a modern, high-performing organization, keeping systems reliable, users productive, and data flowing securely?

At Naviant, our mission is to partner with organizations to reimagine how work gets done, combining deep industry expertise, intelligent technology, and a human-centered approach to deliver measurable outcomes. Our vision is simple yet ambitious: Reimagine work through automation, AI, and data, freeing people to focus on what truly matters.

We’re seeking a hands-on IT System Administrator who thrives in a fast-moving IT environment and takes pride in owning both systems and outcomes. This role blends core IT administration with defined, functional Salesforce administration responsibilities, supporting end users, SaaS platforms, devices, and identity systems across the organization.

Approximately 25% of this role focuses on Salesforce administration, including user management, reporting, data integrity, and light configuration in support of established business processes. This role does not involve heavy Salesforce development (e.g. Apex or custom code), but rather ensures the platform remains reliable, usable, and well-governed for internal teams. The remaining 75% centers on general IT operations, such as endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS tooling, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of internal systems. This is a highly visible role that requires strong technical judgment, excellent service orientation, and proactive, problem-solving mindset. While this role owns day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of internal systems, it operates within a broader support ecosystem that includes IT leadership, external partners, and specialized vendors for security and infrastructure.

Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish

First 30 Days: Getting Grounded
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Naviant’s IT environment, including devices, identity systems, SaaS applications, security controls, and support processes.
  • Gain an understanding of how Salesforce is used across the organization, including core objects, reports, integrations, and business workflows.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders by delivering responsive, reliable end-user support.
  • Review existing documentation, configurations, and open issues to identify risks, gaps, and quick-win improvements.
  • Establish credibility through clear communication, follow-through, and a high standard of operational excellence.
Within 60 Days: Taking Ownership
  • Independently manage day-to-day IT operations, including user onboarding/offboarding, device management, access control, and SaaS administration.
  • Take functional ownership of Salesforce administration tasks such as user management, basic configuration, reporting, data hygiene, and support requests.
  • Improve system reliability and user experience by identifying recurring issues and implementing preventative solutions.
  • Enhance documentation, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge resources.
  • Partner effectively with business teams to understand needs and translate them into scalable, secure technical solutions.
At 90 Days and Beyond: Driving Impact
  • Fully own the health, reliability, and usability of Naviant’s internal IT systems and Salesforce environment, partnering with IT leadership and external providers, as appropriate, to ensure scalability, security, and operational resilience.
  • Serve as a trusted internal advisor, balancing user needs, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve automation, and reduce manual effort across systems.
  • Maintain strong system hygiene, access controls, and data integrity, supporting auditability and organizational trust.
  • Contribute to longer-term IT strategy and continuous improvement initiatives, bringing a thoughtful, solution-oriented perspective.
