Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager, Global Oncology Communications for a fix term assignment supporting the Global Hematology organization.
This position will support the development of integrated communication strategies, help to manage stakeholder alignment, and support product and pipeline communication initiatives across our multiple myeloma and leukemia/lymphoma disease areas. This includes strategic planning and execution around key data milestones, pipeline updates, congress activity, and both internal and external communications programs that advance J&J’s hematology business and reputation.
Reports to: Director, Global Hematology Communications
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
Develop and execute integrated external and internal communications plans supporting hematology pipeline and in-market brands.
Support communication planning for key clinical and data milestones, including coordinating with global cross-functional partners in medical affairs, commercial, R&D, and public affairs on medical meetings and other key initiatives.
Drive market shaping initiatives to ready the market for brands with imminent launches planned.
Content Development & Storytelling
Create/contribute to high-quality content including press materials, internal announcements, leadership messaging, Q&As, fact sheets, and scientific milestone communications—reflective of similar content ownership found in J&J oncology and medical communications roles.
Support congress-related communications (e.g., data drops, media engagement materials, partner toolkits).
Support efforts, programs and tactics that drive the reputation of J&J as a leader in Oncology.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner closely with global communications colleagues, scientific and clinical teams, commercial leaders and agency partners to ensure consistent, aligned messaging.
Provide strategic counsel to internal partners on issues management, messaging, and narrative development.
Internal Communications
Support employee engagement initiatives, global town halls, leadership communications, internal storytelling, and organizational culture programs.
Project & Operations Management
Manage timelines, deliverables, and agency partnerships to ensure execution excellence.
Experience We would like You to have:
8+ years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, product communications, or healthcare communications; oncology experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific information into compelling, audience-appropriate narratives—common criteria in J&J communication manager positions.
Demonstrated experience supporting external and internal communications, including media relations, content development, and leadership communications.
Strong project management, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global environment.
Preferred:
Experience in oncology, hematology, or pharmaceutical/biotech communications.
Experience supporting scientific communications, medical affairs, clinical trials, or data milestones.
Prior experience with global or highly cross-functional teams.
