This is a contracted position for 12+ months. Pay $95-$100 per hour.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Project Manager / Implementation Manager to lead large-scale Epic initiatives from planning through go-live and optimization. This role will oversee cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of Epic implementations and enhancements. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare IT experience, Epic project leadership, and the ability to drive results in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Epic implementation projects, including planning, execution, and post-go-live support
Define project scope, milestones, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
Coordinate across clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure alignment and execution
Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and executive reporting
Oversee system build coordination, testing phases (unit, integrated, UAT), and go-live readiness
Ensure adherence to Epic standards, governance, and best practices
Drive workflow optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Support resource planning and vendor coordination when applicable
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience, with Epic implementation experience required
Proven experience leading full-cycle Epic implementations
PMP certification preferred
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and IT systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
Bachelor’s degree required
