Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer who combines strong hands-on coding expertise with technical leadership. This role requires daily coding while guiding senior developers across multiple services, owning cross-team architecture, and driving engineering excellence across Java/Spring Boot systems deployed on Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver complex features using Java and Spring Boot
Provide hands-on technical leadership to senior engineers across multiple services
Own and drive cross-team architecture for distributed systems
Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance across platforms
Lead platform-wide initiatives including observability, CI/CD quality gates, and performance optimization
Mentor and coach senior developers to enhance team capabilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals
Utilize AI tools like Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development, design, and documentation
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
Deep understanding of distributed system design patterns
Proven experience working with Kubernetes-based deployments
Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins
Experience with cloud computing environments
Solid understanding of QA and QC processes in software development
Ability to drive architecture decisions across multiple teams
Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills
