Job description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Accountant for a remote contract position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in New York, NY. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity.
This role involves key accounting and finance functions, including month-end processing, account analysis, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will support daily cash transactions, the Accounts Receivable process, and help document policies.
Responsibilities:
Process month-end, quarter-end and year-end account analysis and journal entries
Generate ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end financial reports
Support the daily cash transactions process
Support the Accounts Receivable payment application process
Identify and document policies in areas of responsibility
Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree in accounting or finance
Basic PC skills including MS Office products
Knowledgeable of GAAP
Proficient in data upload processes
Licensed CPA
Pay range: $37.00 - $45.00
