Position: ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
Project: Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) Stand-Up
Engagement Model: Outcome-based advisory services (non-configuration heavy)
Duration: 1-year contract with potential extension
Work Location: Primarily virtual
Hours: Standard business hours (8:30am–5:30pm)
Experience: 5–7 Years
Preferred: PMP, CSM, Salesforce Admin, Platform App Builder, Public Sector Experience
Role Overview
The Engagement Manager will serve as the delivery orchestrator for the ITS Salesforce COE Stand-Up initiative. This individual will manage scope, coordination, workstream tracking, client communications, and monthly reporting while ensuring all advisory work products align with ITS' strategic objectives.
This is not a traditional build PM role. It is a governance, advisory, and stakeholder alignment leadership role.
Core Responsibilities
• Serve as primary delivery lead between ITS and the Salesforce advisory team
• Manage engagement scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables
• Coordinate Salesforce CTO, Senior Architect, and Solution Consultant activities
• Ensure completion and quality of all SOW work products
• Oversee development of:
- Org strategy documentation
- Data architecture documents
- ATO and security accreditation frameworks
- DevOps governance documentation
- COE Charter and RACI matrix
- Application intake framework
- Architecture Review processes
• Lead monthly summary reporting including:
- Activities performed
- Key decisions
- Risks and blockers
- Work products status
• Manage risk identification and mitigation across governance and architecture streams
• Facilitate stakeholder sessions and executive briefings
• Maintain alignment to clicks-not-code principles
• Ensure advisory scope remains non-configuration heavy
• Ensure no project management scope creep into excluded areas
Critical Experience Required
• Experience managing Salesforce platform advisory engagements
• Experience leading multi-cloud Salesforce programs (Service Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Marketing Cloud)
• Public sector governance experience
• Experience managing architecture review boards or COE programs
• Familiarity with ATO processes and compliance governance
• Experience managing cross-agency stakeholders
