Otto's Ice House Manager - Role is Based out of San Antonio, TX
A new, full-service icehouse has opened in the vibrant Pearl District, nestled beneath Texas’ signature live oaks along the San Antonio River. This exciting concept, brought to you by Goode Company, offers friendly service, classic Southern bites with a Texas twist, and live music on the outdoor patio.
We are seeking a Manager who thrives in hospitality but brings a strong operational understanding of the kitchen—someone who can bridge the gap between FOH and BOH to deliver exceptional guest experiences and consistent, high-quality food.

Position Overview
This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations while maintaining a deep partnership with the kitchen. The ideal candidate understands how food is executed from prep to plate and uses that knowledge to elevate service, timing, and overall guest satisfaction.
You will lead by example—driving culture, developing team members, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Guest Experience
- Ensure exceptional service standards are consistently executed to create memorable dining experiences
- Lead and manage all FOH operations including host stand, dining room, bar, and to-go
- Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns promptly, and handle feedback professionally
- Oversee reservations, seating flow, and table turns to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Monitor service timing, food presentation, and overall restaurant ambiance
FOH/BOH Partnership
- Act as a liaison between FOH and BOH to ensure smooth,accurate, andtimelyservice
- Leverage kitchen experience to support expo, understand ticket flow, andmaintainfood quality standards
- Conduct pre-shift meetings with both FOH and BOH teams to align on service, menu, and expectations
- Maintain a strong understanding of recipes, food preparation, and quality standards
Product Quality & Standards
- Ensure all food and beverage meet company standards for quality, consistency, and presentation
- Monitor food safety, allergy awareness, and sanitation standards across the restaurant
- Support kitchen operations when needed, including line awareness and execution standards
- Verify supplier orders and product quality
Leadership & Team Development
- Cultivate a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture
- Hire, train, coach, and develop team members across FOH (and support BOH training as needed)
- Provide consistent feedback—balancing recognition and accountability
- Manage schedules, labor, and staffing needs
- Ensure proper uniform, appearance, and professionalism standards
- Operations & Financial Performance
- Work closely with the General Manager to manage P&L performance and meet financial goals
- Assistwith inventory oversight, cost controls, and operational efficiency
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and security standards
- Coordinate live music operations and collaborate with marketing for events and promotions
Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience (FOH-focused)
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on kitchen experience(scratch kitchen strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of both FOH operations and BOH execution
- Proven ability to run effective shifts and lead cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of food quality standards, kitchen workflow, and service timing
- Financial acumen and P&L experience preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Resourceful problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management systems (POS, inventory, HR software)
- Ability to stand for extended periods andlift upto 50lbs
- Spanish speaking a plus, notrequired
- TABC, Food Manager, and Allergen Certificationrequired
