You’ll join the Member Intelligence Squad, where engineering meets customer experience. This team builds the tools and systems that help us understand, support, and communicate with members at scale—from internal dashboards to AI-powered chat and IVR systems. You’ll work across the stack, partnering closely with product, design, and operations to deliver thoughtful, reliable solutions that directly impact how members experience Dave.
Develop full-stack web and mobile features using JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on React and React Native
Build and evolve internal tools that support our Member Success teams, improving efficiency and visibility
Contribute to backend services that power integrations with platforms like Zendesk and other external systems
Help shape and improve our AI-driven chatbot and IVR experiences to better serve member needs
Write clean, maintainable code supported by unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving how the team builds and ships software
Your work will directly shape how millions of members get help, find answers, and interact with Dave—making support faster, more intuitive, and more human.
Experience & Technical Foundation
3+ years of software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React
Experience building and scaling full-stack applications
Solid computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills
Ability to design and reason about system architecture and component design
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Bonus
Experience with React Native
Familiarity with MySQL and Google Cloud Platform
Experience integrating with third-party tools (e.g., Zendesk)
Exposure to AI, chatbot, or IVR systems
