Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our legal team in a remote capacity. This role is based in California and offers the flexibility of working from home while handling workers' compensation defense cases with billable hours around 40 hours a week. This firm offers collaborative billing so the attorney does not need to solely bill 40 hours a week to meet bonus objectives it's the total between the attorney, legal assistant and paralegal on the caseload.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense cases from inception to resolution.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and medical professionals to develop case strategies.
Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding workers' compensation claims and defense strategies.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in California.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
