Requirements:

  • Plan and manage the Envision enhancement project timeline, milestones, tasks, and dependencies; collaborate with the digital development team and escalate risks as needed.
  • Apply expert knowledge of Hyatt's event management and detailing processes to guide redesign; coordinate and execute UAT and gather stakeholder feedback to ensure real-world applicability.
  • Support training rollout by developing plans and materials; coordinate schedules; prepare demonstration materials; participate in virtual and in-person sessions to guide property teams.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including property leadership and the digital development team to ensure smooth deployment and onboarding; manage onboarding communications for each hotel.

Job Title: Project Lead - Envision System Enhancement
Location: US Remote (Open to Americas candidates in compatible time zones)
Duration: Initial 6-month contract (Projected to extend to 18 months)

 
About the Role
Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a seasoned Project Lead to drive the system enhancement project for Envision, our proprietary sales and events tool. This role is distinct from broader property deployment projects; it is focused on refining the event management and detailing functionalities of Envision to better serve our sales teams in finding and confirming new clients.
You will work at the intersection of project coordination and functional expertise, partnering closely with our digital development team. Your primary mission will be to ensure that the redesigned event detailing tools are intuitive, effective, and seamlessly adopted by property teams. We are looking for a self-starter who can take high-level guidance and execute a detailed project plan.
This position is ideal for a former Hyatt events professional who thrived in the fast-paced, detail-oriented environment of a property and is now looking for a remote, home-based role that leverages their deep operational knowledge to influence system-wide improvements.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination & Planning: Manage and maintain the project timeline for the Envision enhancement, tracking milestones, tasks, and dependencies. Collaborate with the digital development team to ensure project deliverables stay on schedule and proactively escalate risks.
  • Functional Expertise & Feedback Loops: Leverage your expert-level knowledge of Hyatt’s event management and detailing processes to guide the redesign. Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , bring colleagues together for feedback sessions, and ensure the new design aligns with real-world operational needs.
  • Training & Rollout Support: Assist in developing training plans and materials. Support the rollout phase by coordinating schedules, preparing demonstration materials for the new product, and participating in both virtual and in-person sessions to guide property teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with project stakeholders, including property leadership and the digital development team, to ensure a smooth deployment and onboarding experience. Manage communication regarding the onboarding schedule for each hotel.
Who You Are
You are a former Hyatt hotel professional with a "special eye for detail." You’ve spent years on the front lines, moving bookings one by one and navigating the day-to-day workflow of event planning. You are deeply familiar with the Envision system, not just from a strategic sales perspective, but from the ground-level execution of event detailing. You are organized, self-sufficient, and excited to use your hands-on experience to help build a better tool for your former colleagues.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Hyatt Background: Must be a former Hyatt colleague who left the company on good terms. We are not looking to recruit from current hotels.
  • Deep Event Detailing Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a role such as Event Planning Manager, Event Management, or Event Detailing on property. This is the core requirement.
  • Envision Expertise: Expert-level, day-to-day experience with the event management side of the Envision system.
  • Detail-Oriented: A proven track record of managing complex events and bookings with flawless attention to detail.
  • Project Coordination: 2+ years of experience managing multiple initiatives, timelines, and tasks in a structured environment. Strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable working with project management software and learning new technologies.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, MS Project).
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
