Role: Oracle EBS SCM Technical Consultant

Location: Remote in Canada

Type: Contract

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Oracle EBS SCM modules including:

o Purchasing

o Inventory

o Order Management

o Shipping Execution

• Investigate and resolve production issues, interface failures, and data discrepancies in Oracle EBS.

• Develop and support custom reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE components).

• Work with functional teams to understand business requirements and implement technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:

o Concurrent programs

o Interface processing

o Data corruption or reconciliation issues

o Performance issues in reports or queries.

• Support data fixes and backend troubleshooting using SQL and PL/SQL.

• Maintain and enhance existing Oracle Reports and XML/BI Publisher reports.

• Support inbound and outbound interfaces between Oracle EBS and external systems.

• Assist with patch testing, regression testing, and production deployments.

• Document technical solutions, issue resolutions, and development changes.

• Participate in on-call rotations and critical incident resolution when required.

Mandatory Skills, Certifications and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with:

o PL/SQL development

o Oracle SQL tuning

o Oracle APIs

o Open Interfaces

o Concurrent programs

o BI Publisher / XML Publisher

o Oracle Reports

• Experience working with RICE components:

o Reports

o Interfaces

o Conversions

o Extensions

• Knowledge of Oracle EBS tables related to SCM modules.

• Experience troubleshooting workflow issues and interface errors.

• Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting for job execution and automation.

Support & AMS Experience

• Experience working in an Oracle EBS Application Managed Services (AMS) environment.

• Familiar with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.

• Experience handling:

o Incident management

o Problem management

o Change requests

o Minor enhancements

• Ability to prioritize tickets based on business impact and SLA commitments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle EBS technical experience

• Strong experience supporting Oracle EBS R12 environments

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
