Position Overview The Copywriter is responsible for producing clear, compelling, and strategically aligned written content that supports the company’s marketing and communications initiatives. This role requires exceptional writing skills, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to translate complex industry topics into engaging, accessible content. The Copywriter will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, subject‑matter experts, and cross‑functional teams to develop high‑quality materials that reinforce the company’s brand and thought leadership position.
Essential Responsibilities Thought Leadership & Long‑Form Content
Develop thought leadership pieces that position the company as an industry expert and trusted voice.
Research and write long‑form content such as whitepapers, articles, reports, and industry insights.
Conduct interviews with internal experts to gather information and strengthen content depth.
Marketing & Communications Support
Support the Director of Marketing and Communications in developing long‑form content, industry‑focused materials, and internal communications.
Draft copy for newsletters, announcements, presentations, and other communication channels.
Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Property & Casualty (P&C) and Employee Benefits (EB).
Editorial Quality & Brand Alignment
Ensure all written content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
Edit and proofread materials for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
Maintain editorial standards and contribute to the development of style guidelines.
Research & Industry Awareness
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor messaging, and emerging topics.
Use insights to craft relevant, timely, and authoritative content that supports business objectives.
Monitor industry publications and market developments to identify new content opportunities.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
3–5 years of professional writing experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or a related industry.
Experience producing long‑form content and thought leadership pieces.
Prior experience supporting marketing or communications teams is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content.

Familiarity with brand voice development and editorial style guidelines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with content management systems is a plus.
