About the Position:

This position is responsible for obtaining referral authorizations from insurance companies to ensure patients can get scheduled.   

Primary duties consist of:

• Manage the intake and distribution of referrals to ensure entry into the scheduling process
• Compilation of information for database entry and distribution
• Enter data into multiple databases
• Create, prepare, and update electronic medical records
• Create and process patient charts for entry into databases and servers
• Prepare and distribute patient and physician correspondence regarding appointment status
• Contact patients to provide information regarding the insurance precertification process
• Faxing information to physician offices and other faxing as needed
• Performing word processing, copying as needed
• Create and distribute daily and weekly data reports as requested

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a medical setting preferred
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software quickly
• High level of organization and accuracy
