Requirements:

  • Serve as a key support resource for the portfolio management team by coordinating payoff requests, invoice requests, and other servicing inquiries from WSF and external partners; provide timely follow-up to ensure accurate resolution.
  • Monitor the WSF portfolio for past-due accounts and oversee or supplement collections with the sub-servicer Orion First and other Master Servicers; collaborate with the COO to determine priorities and approaches for challenging accounts.
  • Minimize bad debt through behind-the-scenes due diligence to ensure policies and procedures are followed; manage related activities for write-offs as needed.
  • Create and maintain bi-weekly reports for department leadership, own and manage related files in a shared drive, and support bankruptcy-related matters (Chapter 7, 11, 13) including follow-up and coordination with internal and external parties.

What You’ll Do:

The position of portfolio manager will serve as a key support resource for the portfolio management team in the day-to-day activities of the portfolio.  In this position you will coordinate and help process payoff requests, invoice requests, and other servicing inquiries from within WSF and our external partners.  You will respond to partners email requests and provide timely follow-up to our partners to ensure accurate resolution of all servicing matters.

  • Monitors the WSF Portfolio specifically focused on accounts that are past due and be required to oversee and/or supplement collection calls with sub-servicer (Orion First) and other WSF Master Servicers to manage all delinquencies for the division. 

  • Works directly with the Chief Operating Officer to determine priorities and approaches to the various collection challenges on an individual contract basis and with the individual Master Servicers.

  • Responsible for minimizing bad debt that had been previously written off that still requires needed “behind the scenes” due diligence to ensure our policies and procedures are adhered to without exception. 

  • Responsible for creating/maintaining bi-weekly reports to department’s officer(s). Incumbent “owns” these files (which are to be stored in a shared departmental drive).

  • Shares responsibility for any accounts that may become part of a bankruptcy ensuring tight follow-up on past due files (bi-weekly reports, co-hosting monthly scheduled and ad-hoc meetings) including yet not limited to New Debtor in Possession files – Chapter 7, 11 and 13.

  • Assists with internal departments, agency on file, internal legal department, assigned trustees and outside counsel. This includes the management of liquidations and receiverships and

  • Manages the reporting of affected portfolios in “identified” Natural disaster areas as they occur (Emergency orders by state, parish or by postal code) managing communications, reporting, Risk Rating and Loss Mitigation.

  • Prepares, analyzes and monitors various reports including but not limited to monthly risk rating and risk rating validations reports, daily lease pool activity (particularly as it pertains to accounts being monitored by the sub-servicer Orion First and their collection Activities).

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience portfolio management.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced Computer Skills

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000 - $92,000 along with eligibility to earn a quarterly bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
