Manages a line of business with a team of insurance actuaries. Conducts research and recommends policies to assist with the organization's financial structure, completes financial projections, and performs actuarial analysis. Under limited administrative direction, supervises a team of actuaries who are responsible for preparing financial projections for single-employer and multiemployer pension plans. Uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to manage workflow to ensure that established deadlines are met and ensure the accuracy of financial projections. Contributes to writing and maintaining policies and procedures. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.
