DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
NEXTGEN DISTRIBUTION is seeking a Philippines based, Inside Sales Representative, supporting its New Zealand based Fortinet business.
This vendor-specialized quoting role will be responsible for managing Fortinet opportunities, quoting end-to-end with a very strong focus on accuracy, speed, and commercial optimisation.
This role supports one of the fastest growing sales teams in the NEXTGEN business. You will be providing your knowledge on Fortinet quotations, product configurations, and opportunity administration, helping convert pipeline to orders efficiently and compliantly.
This role will report to Fortinet Sales Operations Manager.
As the Inside Sales Representative, you will:
Key responsibilities
- Own Fortinet quoting end-to-end for assigned opportunities, ensuring fast, accurate turnaround aligned to agreed SLAs.
- Create, validate, and maintain quote configurations across Fortinet hardware, software, subscriptions, support, renewals, and services (as applicable).
- Manage and progress deal administration including opportunity hygiene, quote revisions, approvals, and documentation to support order conversion.
- Provide expert guidance on Fortinet deal structures (e.g., renewals, co-terms, trade-ups, expansions, multi-year constructs) and ensure the correct commercial treatment.
- Coordinate pricing requests and approvals (e.g., special pricing, deal registration, discounts, promotions/rebates where applicable) through the relevant Fortinet and distributor processes/tools.
- Proactively identify risks and issues (configuration, compliance, pricing validity, stock/lead time, partner eligibility, approval delays) and escalate early with clear options and recommendations.
- Maintain high-quality quotations always ensuring a 95% accuracy rate.
- Partner with our Operations team and cross-functional teams to reduce rework, improve quote-to-order conversion, and standardise Fortinet quoting practices.
- Support peak-volume periods through prioritisation and workload management while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, proposing process enhancements, and supporting documentation/training for Fortinet quoting standards.
Performance measures (typical)
- Quote turnaround time performance against SLA (including initial response).
- Quote accuracy (error rate/rework rate; credit note/returns attributable to quoting).
- Opportunity progression quality (documentation completeness; approval timeliness; minimal stalled quotes).
- Quote-to-order conversion support (reduction in delays caused by quoting/administration).
- Stakeholder satisfaction (sales/partner/vendor feedback).
- Compliance with internal controls and vendor/distributor policies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The ideal Inside Sales Representative:
- 3β4 yearsβ experience in Fortinet quoting and opportunity management within a distributor, reseller, or vendor environment.
- Demonstrated experience using Fortinet partner/vendor tools and/or distributor quoting systems to generate and manage quotes through to order.
- Strong working knowledge of Fortinet product and licensing constructs (e.g., subscriptions/support renewal structures and common upgrade/expansion scenarios).
- Experience coordinating approvals for non-standard pricing and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of pricing requests.
- Highly regarded: prior experience at a Fortinet distributor or at Fortinet (vendor).
- Fortinet training/certification (where applicable) is advantageous.

- Strong commercial acumen: understands margin impacts, deal mechanics, and how to structure quotes to improve conversion.
- Excellent stakeholder management across remote teams (sales, vendor, finance, operations), including clear written communication.
- Strong prioritisation and time management in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Analytical problem-solving: quickly diagnoses configuration/pricing issues and proposes practical solutions.
- Confident escalation management: knows when and how to escalate with context, evidence, and recommended next steps.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with accountability for outputs.

Working arrangements
- This is a fully remote role based in the Philippines Hub.
- Standard working hours are aligned to support the New Zealand business time zones and peak periods.
- Role requires reliable internet connectivity and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
- You will be required to travel to Manila from time to time for work/team related activities and training.
