Roles & Responsibilities

  • Active medical license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for low-barrier and equitable access to evidence-based addiction medicine services
  • Previous experience providing addiction medicine services (asset)
  • ISAM or ABAM certification or CCFP(AM) beneficial but not required

Requirements:

  • Provide evidence-based addiction medicine care to patients through the Virtual Health Addiction Clinic (VHAC) with a focus on low-barrier and equitable access
  • Participate in scheduled VHAC clinic lines (e.g., Monday regular line; Thursday maternity coverage) and adapt to varying time commitments (full-time, part-time, occasional)
  • Collaborate with Fraser Health's Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services team to deliver integrated care and support quality improvement
  • Maintain CPSBC licensing and credentialing requirements, ensure accurate medical records and documentation, and uphold professional standards

We are a close knit, collaborative and friendly group of providers who genuinely enjoy the work that we do. There are several opportunities to join our team with varying time commitments including full time, part time and occasional.

 

Current Opportunities:

 

 Virtual Health Addiction Clinic (VHAC)

  • Monday: regular line
  • Thursday: Maternity coverage from September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026

Qualifications:

 

We are looking for physicians who demonstrate an enthusiasm and passion for providing low barrier and equitable access to evidence based and evidence informed addiction medicine services.

 

The candidate must have an active license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC). Previous experience providing addiction medicine services is an asset. ISAM or ABAM certification or CCFP(AM) are beneficial but not a requirement.
