Job Title: Lead Accountant

Job Type: Full-Time / Remote
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM CST
Compensation: $2,500 - $3,000 monthly (salary based on assessment)

Job Overview:

We're looking for a Lead Accountant with a solid accounting foundation, leadership experience, and strong communication skills to help us scale operations and support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and interfacing directly with clients — especially U.S.-based businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review monthly financial and tax documents for accuracy and completeness

• Manage and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality output and professional development

• Handle complex client communications, responding to inquiries within 24-hour window

• Coordinate and support special projects, including audits and process optimization

• Work cross-functionally with leadership to align team efforts with broader business goals

• Identify and recommend improvements in workflows, systems, or documentation

• Execute specialized projects including client audits and advanced tax implication research

• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency

• Collaborate with leadership to support strategic business objectives

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and project management

• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail

• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (especially with U.S.-based clients)

• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reporting, etc.)

Preferred:

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify is a plus)

• Exposure to project management or workflow tools

• Knowledge of sales tax software (e.g., Avalara)

• CPA certification or progress toward one
