EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
An Executive Producer who can ensure that all aspects of the company’s programs and events are successfully conceptualized, produced, and delivered to the client. Client and project management/oversight are central to this position as the Executive Producer, Experiential drives the project and process. This role will manage freelance and full-time Producers and Coordinators on a project-by-project basis and be assigned Producers, Coordinators, and junior Staff members to oversee, mentor, and/or train.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
At least 8+ years of experience producing events, which includes hands-on experience overseeing and also producing core event logistics, such as catering, meeting space, housing, AV production, fabrication, etc. for events.
At least 8+ years of client-facing experience; ability to advise, consult, budget manage, and resolve any conflict that may arise while still protecting the client relationship
Understand event industry norms such as:
Venue contracting – the overall process, including concessions
Housing – room blocks, shoulder dates, cumulative blocks, and attrition
Catering – food and beverage minimums
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Possess expert judgement and ability to make sound decisions within gray areas
Budget management experience with direct financial responsibility, ownership, and accountability to others. At the senior manager level, budget experience should be between at or over $1 million
Strong computer and technology skills, especially Google Workspace applications and Slack Ability to take initiative to learn and produce high quality work
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously without a reduction in accuracy or quality of work product
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with others and work well on a team
Ability and desire to work collaboratively with Creative Departments
Display a positive attitude in all interactions with internal and external customers
Actively participate in and contribute to MAS employee bonding activities
Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues with projects and tasks outside of job requirements
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop extraordinary concepts to inspire clients and champion forward-thinking ideas that will change how people experience brands.
Oversee multiple brand experience projects from pitch through to execution.
Ensure creative integrity by clearly articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices.
Continually look for innovative solutions and production methods
Execute the integrity of the creative treatment in all deliverables
Account (Client) Management
Own the main thoroughfare of communication with clients, including difficult/must have conversations when required.
Develop meaningful relationships with clients that build trust with the MAS approach
Be a resource to the team as client needs or budgets change, and help get client approvals
Look for new opportunities to engage existing clients further with MAS offerings
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to MAS senior management
Network between offices and colleagues to share ideas, knowledge and resources.
Know and understand success stories from across the network. Be able to share those stories with the team and clients in the appropriate context.
Continue to develop templates for MAS internal and external facing documents and processes to ensure consistent style and production development across all projects and offices.
Manage resources; identify, negotiate and book external resources as needed
In-depth Budget Management, including knowledge of fair industry pricing
Working with the Director of Production, create program budgets and manage the revenue throughout client programs
Translate costs to a sell price with appropriate detail to be communicated to the client
Manage/mitigate/negotiate third party costs
Ensure client budget is up-to-date at all times on assigned programs
Reconcile program costs against budget for assigned program
Work with Accounting to ensure proper billing and payment for services rendered.
Support with initiatives related to PR and New Business for clients and MAS internal marketing needs.
Participate in the new business efforts on the brainstorming creative side, research and development or presentation as directed by MAS senior management.
Participate in PR events and appearances as directed and as schedule permits to represent MAS portfolio of work in a dynamic fashion
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspire and challenge the internal teams pushing the creative.
Team Management, including cross-departmentally.
Serve as a leader to producers and coordinators to ensure that they are exposed to appropriate opportunities to help them grow in their career and to ensure that they continue to add increasing value to the team
Ensure regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Develop talent of junior team members by providing challenging assignments, training modules and ongoing constructive feedback.
Act as Supervisor/Manager to 1-2 direct reports
Participate and/or advise on all employee yearly reviews.
Talent scout for potential coordinators and producers.
Develop and actively manage vendor/ freelance talent relationships to ensure best available talent and pricing.

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $130,000 - $170,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
