Job Opportunity: Sr. QA Automation Engineer (AI-Driven Testing)

We are currently scaling our QA Engineering capabilities by building AI-driven testing agents. These agents are designed to read Jira tickets, autonomously execute tests, and move tasks forward with minimal human intervention. Our QA Manager has already initiated this effort, and we're looking for someone who can contribute meaningfully from day one.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough manual testing to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies.
Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure proper test coverage.
Document and report defects using bug tracking tools.
Contribute to the design and implementation of test automation frameworks.
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify quality issues.
Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Stay up to date with best practices and emerging trends in QA and automation.
Help design and build AI-powered QA agents that:
Read and interpret Jira tickets
Generate and execute tests autonomously
Make decisions about test coverage and ticket progression
Tech Stack
Anthropic Claude API (Claude Code) β reasoning, test generation, decision-making
Playwright β browser automation and test execution
Jira API β ticket management and workflow updates
Python or Node.js β system orchestration
Requirements
5+ years of experience in QA Automation.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
Proven experience with manual and automated testing.
Strong proficiency with Playwright.
Experience integrating or working with APIs (ideally LLM APIs).
Solid understanding of test strategy and test coverage principles.
Experience with tools like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Experience building or integrating with LLM-based systems.
Personal projects demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and technical depth.
Interest in AI-driven automation and intelligent systems.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
Location
This is a fully remote position. You can work from anywhere as long as you have a reliable internet connection and the necessary testing environments.
Remuneration
Compensation is provided in USD.
