You should be comfortable operating with minimal infrastructure, resources, and oversight—someone who takes initiative, figures things out, and helps build processes as we scale. You’ll play a key role in shaping the sales organization and will have the opportunity to grow alongside the company.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for managing both inbound and outbound sales efforts, including following up on marketing- and website-generated leads, as well as proactively prospecting into key accounts such as insurance carriers. You’ll own and maintain accurate data in HubSpot, ensuring strong pipeline hygiene and clear visibility into deal flow.
The majority of your time will be spent engaging directly with legal professionals—including attorneys, partners, paralegals, general counsel, and risk teams—leading product demos, and guiding prospects through the full sales cycle from initial outreach to close. You’ll build and manage relationships, run a consultative sales process, and consistently identify opportunities to add value.
Experience in the legal or legaltech space is highly valuable, as it enables you to effectively communicate with our core customers, understand their workflows, and position our platform in a way that resonates.
As a key representative of Trellis, you’ll embody our brand in every interaction—listening closely to customer needs, converting prospects into customers, and turning customers into long-term advocates.
3–5+ years of experience as a New Business Account Executive, ideally at a strategic, senior, or enterprise level
Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging prospects via email, phone, and in-person
Experience applying a structured sales methodology, particularly in discovery and consultative selling
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
Highly organized, able to prioritize, move quickly, identify next steps, and propose solutions independently
Exposure to legal practice, law firms or lawyers (for example, through an internship/ interest in law/ judicial system)
Exposure and familiarity with customer relationship management software: Hubspot
Experienced working in a B2B environment with technical/ SaaS/ law solutions
