Pricing Specialist

Basic Description:

The Pricing Specialist position is responsible for the pricing accuracy of locked loans, understanding and enforcing secondary lock policies, locking loans with investors, communication with the sales team and monitoring, maintaining, and responding to requests in the Lock Desk Queue. Direct communication and interaction with Flat Branch loan officers, processors, closers, and Area Sales Managers will be required. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and process daily rate lock, extension, and relock request. 
• Assist with Historical Pricing requests
• Validate loan level data (Product, LTV, FICO, Occupancy, Property Type, etc.) for accuracy
• Confirm pricing eligibility against investor guidelines.
• Ability to make calculated decisions as it relates to lender credits, premium pricing, under par locks and pricing exceptions.
• Issue lock confirmations in a timely and accurate manner
• Respond to lock desk inquiries with urgency and professionalism inside our stated SOW time constraints.
• Provide pricing guidance to Loan Officers and Sales Managers
• Participate in other projects, including but not limited to improvement and development of pricing system methodologies. 
• Support other positions in Secondary Marketing as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferred but not required
• Experience with LOS (Encompass) and PPE’s (Polly, Optimal Blue, etc.) a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical Thinker able to review requests and make necessary decisions independently
• Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure, when needed. 
• Ability to work with integrity and handle highly confidential information, required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with a focus in Excel
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
