Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2B inside sales, business development, or customer support with a strong focus on outbound prospecting.
  • Proven track record of cold calling and prospecting into ANZ (Australia and/or New Zealand) markets (mandatory).
  • Experience prospecting into Singapore and/or Malaysia is highly regarded.
  • Native or near-native English fluency (spoken and written) with a professional communication style suitable for engaging senior-level stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Execute all aspects of inside sales cold calling and outbound prospecting for assigned APAC accounts, maximizing conversion of qualified prospects into scheduled telephone appointments and meetings.
  • Research target companies in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia and identify key stakeholders; compile accurate contact data and account intelligence.
  • Schedule appointments, attend meetings as required, and assist with timely follow-up activities in collaboration with the Sales Representative.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities within Salesforce or the designated CRM system.

The role in a nutshell:

At Safeguard Global, we are excited to be expanding our APAC Business Development Team. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a work-from-home position based in Manila, Philippines, and a key contributor to Safeguard Global's APAC sales organisation. The role drives new business growth across the APAC region, with a primary focus on Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia. China is excluded from the scope of this role. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a proven track record of prospecting and cold calling into ANZ and Southeast Asian markets, communicating professionally in English with senior-level stakeholders, and consistently demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and resourcefulness in building a high-quality sales pipeline.

How you will make a difference: 

  • Work ANZ business hours (aligned to AEST) to support outreach and engagement with prospects across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Research and identify companies across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia that are growing and expanding, using indicators such as new job postings, funding announcements, and other market signals.
  • Research target companies and identify key stakeholders across the APAC region (excluding China); compile accurate contact data and account intelligence to support outreach campaigns.
  • Execute all aspects of inside sales cold calling and outbound prospecting for assigned APAC accounts, maximising the conversion of qualified prospects into scheduled telephone appointments and meetings.
  • Work directly with the Sales Representative to schedule appointments, attend meetings where required, and assist with timely follow-up activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities within Salesforce or the designated CRM system.

What will make you stand out: 

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in B2B inside sales, business development, or customer support with a strong focus on outbound prospecting.
  • Proven, demonstrable success cold calling and prospecting into ANZ (Australia and/or New Zealand) markets. This is a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience prospecting into Singapore and/or Malaysia is highly regarded.
  • Native or near-native English fluency (spoken and written), with a clear, professional communication style suited to engaging business professionals across ANZ and Southeast Asia.
  • Ability to source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, and targeted email campaigns.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM platform.
  • Strong listening, qualification, and objection-handling skills.
  • Comfortable working ANZ business hours (AEST) and overlapping with Singapore business hours (SGT) while operating remotely from a home office.
  • Confident presentation skills and the ability to credibly represent Safeguard Global's value proposition to senior-level stakeholders.

  • Reliable high-speed home internet connection with minimum 50 Mbps upload and download speeds.
