Roles & Responsibilities

  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Geography/GIS, or a related field (preferred); or a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of professional planning experience
  • Experience with State and Local governments in one or more Northeast Area states
  • Experience using ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online for mapping and data analysis
  • Familiarity with urban design and visualization tools such as SketchUp and working knowledge of Adobe InDesign

  • Support public engagement efforts, including public meetings, workshops, and stakeholder outreach (in-person and virtual), and attend meetings as needed, including occasional off-hours public meetings

Join us as a Land Development Plan Reviewer Engineer II to help bring thoughtful, sustainable development to life! This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in reviewing land development, stormwater management, and erosion control plans for our Municipal clients. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and planners to analyze technical drawings and calculations, ensuring projects meet community standards for safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable growth. What You’ll Do:

  • Perform research and data analysis for municipal, county, and state planning projects

  • Assist with the preparation of comprehensive plans, zoning and land use codes, redevelopment plans, and planning studies

  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team of planners, engineers, and landscape architects

  • Develop maps, graphics, and layouts for planning documents and presentations

  • Support public engagement efforts, including public meetings, workshops, and stakeholder outreach (in-person and virtual)

  • Assist senior staff with technical analysis, report preparation, and coordination with government clients

  • Attend meetings and events as needed, including occasional off-hours public meetings

What You Bring:
  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Geography/GIS, or a related field (preferred); or a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of professional planning experience

  • Experience with State and Local governments in one or more of the states within the Northeast Area

  • Experience using ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online for mapping and data analysis

  • Familiarity with urban design and visualization tools such as SketchUp or similar platforms

  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and related software

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly when explaining planning concepts to the public

  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize data, including the ability to use innovative digital tools

  • Actively pursuing AICP certification (preferred)

  • Understanding of U.S. Census data and its application to planning studies

  • Interest in public-sector planning and working with government clients

Salary Range:

Salary range is between $80,000 - $95,000. Final offer will be determined by experience and licensure.
