Infrastructure Material Planner / Senior Analyst
Job Summary
The Infrastructure Material Planner / Analyst is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing infrastructure spare parts and material inventory across multiple sites. This role partners with Procurement, Engineering, Spares Planning, and Operations teams to ensure material availability, minimize excess inventory, and prevent stock‑outs while maintaining accurate material master data.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Procurement teams and suppliers to maintain consistent material availability across all sites while avoiding overcapitalization of inventory.
Manage material demand signals using MRP tools to support spare fulfillment and infrastructure operations.
Analyze and resolve material shortages by evaluating MRP settings, outputs, and demand drivers.
Execute inventory transactions, including material movements and inter‑site transfers, ensuring system accuracy.
Forecast and anticipate future material requirements based on current operations and planned changes.
Analyze inventory levels to support changes in demand, including increases and reductions.
Perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions related to stock‑outs, excess inventory, and discrepancies.
Gather, validate, and maintain accurate material master data.
Analyze inventory positions across multiple sites to improve utilization and availability.
Review and approve Facilities Operations (FacOps) spare parts Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in Fusion in accordance with Meta guidelines.
Process Master Spares List (MSL) updates following established governance criteria.
Submit requests to create or update Facebook Part Numbers (FBPNs) per guidance from the Spares Planning (SPL) team.
Submit and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in alignment with SPL requirements.
Partner with SPL and Infrastructure Business Operations Services (IBOS) Central teams to review Materials Stock Locations (MSLs) and address gaps.
Collaborate with Lean Materials Management teams to update asset and part attribute data.
Work cross‑functionally with SPL, IBOS Central, and Operations teams to resolve issues preventing FacOps spares from being ordered.
Facilitate material review and reclassification activities with cross‑functional (XFN) stakeholders.
Support operational efficiency by helping automate repeatable tasks using Excel macros, VBA, or similar tools.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in supply chain, materials planning, inventory management, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in demand planning and material management.
2+ years of experience managing materials using MRP software.
Experience supporting high‑tech or infrastructure‑based environments.
Automation or scripting experience (e.g., Python, advanced Excel automation).
