  • MS in Biostatistics/Statistics or related field with at least 3+ years of direct pharmaceutical industry experience; PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics preferred.
  • Proficiency in data handling and statistical analysis programming in PC-SAS; strong knowledge of experimental design, mixed linear and nonlinear model methodologies, and categorical data analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and statistical consulting skills; ability to critically review scientific publications; highly organized and able to manage multiple projects; ability to mentor and develop training programs.
  • Desirable: experience with clinical and laboratory trials for pharmaceutical/vaccine products; familiarity with GCP and GLP principles; experience with adaptive clinical trial designs.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing statistical support to multiple discovery, development, and product defense in Veterinary Medicine Research and Development. He/she will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative approaches for design and analysis of clinical and laboratory trials. The individual should be able to review statistical literature in these areas for practical implementation in animal health R&D programs.  Participation on project teams and serving as a liaison between Statistics and other departmental groups is required.  The successful candidate will assist in the training of scientists in experimental design and related topics.  Our department is highly collaborative and colleagues are expected to actively participate in group meetings to ensure that a common approach is taken to handling clinical and laboratory.   

Education: 

  • MS in Biostatistics/Statistics or related field with at least 3+ years of direct work experience in the pharmaceutical industry 
  • PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics preferably with experience

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000 - $180,000. Our salary ranges are

determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range

for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional

factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
