  • Recommend and implement processes aligned with global best practices defined by the FBS R2R team, and coordinate a phased transition of R2R activities into this role
  • Ensure robust and timely accounting records for all functions and coordinate/produce monthly management reporting
  • Support the rollout of new global forecasting processes

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: UK

Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31/12/2026

We are hiring a Management Accountant to join us full time on a fixed term contract until the end of the year reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP): Functions and working in partnership with the Functions FP&A team, R2R Tower Lead and R2R Transition Lead.

The role will drive the smooth transition of month end R2R activities from the Functions FP&A team to the FBS R2R team and support the SFBP: Functions on business partnering activities.

This is a hands-on position combining monthend management accounting, process review and improvement, and collaboration with key stakeholders.  It spans all Group Functions—IT, People, Legal, Finance & Property, and Strategy & Transformation—providing strong insight into functional cost bases within a global matrix structure.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who confidently challenges existing practices and is comfortable designing and implementing process change, has strong monthend accounting expertise, and consistently delivers highquality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Functional FP&A team to identify all R2R activities currently performed.
  • Assess these activities to determine the most efficient future delivery model, distinguishing between tasks that can be standardised and performed directly within FBS and those requiring finance business partner input.
  • Recommend and implement processes aligned with global best practice defined by the FBS R2R team.
  • Coordinate the phased transition of R2R activities into this role, with the aim of achieving full integration within FBS when appropriate.
  • Ensure that the functions continue to have robust and timely accounting records.
  • Coordinate and produce monthly management reporting for functions.
  • Support Functions team with the rollout of new global forecasting processes.

To be successful in the role, you will have

  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Proficient processing Month End and streamlining processes.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Excel and general ledger systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical capability with experience working with complex data.
  • Effective communicator with strong influencing skills and a constructive, challenging mindset.
  • Collaborative, proactive, solutionsfocused, and goaldriven.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
