Roles & Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
Experience with Oracle database administration and performance tuning, and batch processing.
Familiarity with Oracle tools (SQL*Plus, Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD) and GitLab version control; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Requirements:

Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle database structures and PL/SQL objects (procedures, functions, triggers, packages); optimize and tune PL/SQL code; maintain the existing codebase and perform regular maintenance (backups, indexing, data migrations).
Collaborate with application developers to integrate Oracle databases with front-end Java applications via JDBC and develop data integration solutions using SQL*Loader and external tables.
Provide technical support for database-related issues, troubleshoot and performance tune, and create/maintain comprehensive technical documentation; generate reports as needed.
Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and participate in system testing and validation.

Job description

Sr. Oracle Developer

Inovio- Remote, US

What you'll be doing:

Database Development & Maintenance:

Design, develop, and implement complex database structures, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages using Oracle PL/SQL.
Optimize and tune PL/SQL code for performance.
Maintain and enhance existing PL/SQL codebase.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and data migrations.

System Integration:

Collaborate with application developers to integrate Oracle databases with front-end JAVA applications via JDBC.
Develop and implement data integration solutions using SQL*Loader, external tables, and other Oracle tools.

Technical Support & Reporting/Documentation:

Provide technical support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Assist in resolving complex data issues and support end-users.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database applications.
Generate reports and queries as needed to support business operations.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Participate in system testing and validation processes.

What we need from you:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Experience with Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
Experience with Batch Processing
Experience with Oracle tools and technologies such as SQL*Plus, Oracle SQL Developer, or TOAD.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred: experience with Java, Python and Snowflake
Preferred: Oracle Certified Professional

Salary Range: $107,880- $140,000
